Delicious Filipino Kutchinto Rice Cake Dessert

KUTSINTANG MALAGKIT (One of Famous Filipino Rice Cakes) This wonderful sweet and yummy dessert recipe comes from my friend Lynn Arieta in the Philippines. Lynn ("Auntie Manna") and her husband, Pastor John Arieta, live and minister the gospel in Bulacon, Philippines. INGREDIENTS: 2/3 cups glutinous rice powder 1/3 cups rice flour + ¼ cups rice flour + 1 tbsp rice flour 1 tsp Lye Water or Alkaline Water (see NOTE below) ¾ cups brown sugar 1 ½ drops of red food color (paste) & 1/8 tsp orange powdered food color (Filipinos used “anato powder”) 1 ¼ cups water 1 whole grated coconut for topping   MORE RECIPES!!!
